BrightSpring’s wellness program is designed to support employees who want to stop using tobacco. If you use tobacco, free resources are available to help you quit and avoid the monthly tobacco surcharge.
Wellness Program: Tobacco Surcharge
BrightSpring’s wellness program is designed to support employees who want to stop using tobacco. If you use tobacco, free resources are available to help you quit and avoid the monthly tobacco surcharge.
A $50 monthly surcharge applies for each tobacco user unless you complete one of the following:
- Confirm that you have not recently used tobacco or related products by completing the required attestation.
- Complete BrightSpring’s free tobacco cessation program by December 31.
- Complete a reasonable alternative that is appropriate for you. Contact BrightSpringBenefits@BrightSpringHealth.com for assistance arranging a reasonable alternative.
Complete the Program and the Surcharge Is Refunded
Complete our free tobacco cessation program by Dec.31. Contact us at BrightSpringBenefits@BrightSpringHealth.com to arrange for and complete a reasonable alternative that is right you. If you complete the free tobacco cessation program or the reasonable alternative, the monthly tobacco surcharge will end and any surcharge paid will be refunded to you in a single payment.

The tobacco cessation program is available through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and provides personalized support from certified tobacco counselors.
Program support includes:
- One-on-one telephone counseling
- An individualized quit plan
- Tools and strategies to help you stop using tobacco
- Ongoing resources to support your tobacco-free goals
